If the economical growth this year and next would be disappointing, the 22 biggest European banks would be able to withstand a new economical crisis, although they could have a loss up to 400 billion $ all together. Thanks to the governments , who would inject a lot of capital, it would be possible to survive after all. Because of the gloomy scenario that is used, ECB-president Jean-Claude Trichet calls the results “encouraging”. We have to note as well that these aren’t individual results, so the outcome is rather insignificant.

1 opmerking:
Clear focus on one topic, yet there are some points of confusion:
the positive end of S2 clashes with the use of 'the gloomy scenario' in the beginning of S3;
S4: the 'as well' should be 'yet' or 'however' to mark contrast.
S4: rather insignificant: not the best word choice. It counters the message in S2 too strongly and undermines the importance of the entire post: it's not significant really.
Accuracy:
wrong use of a conditional sentence (no 'would' in the condition part)
difference economic and economical (crucial for a student of economics)
'$400bn' or '400 billion dollars'
The combination of inaccurate language and the occasionel hampered flow makes this post below par.
